The short version: shipping is complimentary, the parcel is tracked, and you have 30 days to think it over, with free returns.
Worldwide Complimentary Shipping
Every Berenford order ships complimentary, anywhere in the world, with tracked courier service. There is no minimum order value. There is no signature requirement unless you specifically request one (write to info@berenford.com after placing the order).
Delivery Times
- Switzerland: 1 to 2 working days.
- European Union & UK: 2 to 4 working days.
- North America, Middle East, Australia & Japan: 3 to 5 working days.
- Rest of world: 4 to 7 working days.
Orders placed before 14:00 CET on a working day ship the same day. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays ship the next working day.
VAT & Customs
Orders within Switzerland are inclusive of 8.1% Swiss VAT. Orders outside Switzerland ship VAT-exclusive: the receiving country may apply its own import duties and taxes, payable by the customer at delivery. Berenford does not act as a customs broker.
Packaging
Every frame is delivered in a numbered Berenford presentation box, with: a vintage-style hard case, a Carl Zeiss microfibre cleaning cloth, a paper care card, and the numbered authenticity certificate corresponding to your frame's position in the 100-piece edition.
Returns Policy
You have 30 calendar days from the day you receive your frame to request a return, and returns are free. The frame must be returned unworn, in original packaging, with the Berenford box, the case, and the cleaning cloth intact.
To initiate a return, write to info@berenford.com with your order number and we will send you a prepaid return label within one working day, at no cost to you. Once the parcel is received and inspected at the atelier, the refund is processed within 3 working days to the original payment method.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. To switch to a different model or colour, please return the original frame and place a new order. This keeps the inventory and the limited-edition numbering clean.
Damaged or Defective Frames
If your frame arrives damaged, or if you discover a manufacturing defect within the warranty period, please write to info@berenford.com with photographs within 5 days of delivery. Damaged-in-transit cases are replaced at our cost; manufacturing defects within the warranty period are repaired or replaced at our cost.
The Warranty
OBE hinges: 2 years against manufacturing defect.
Mazzucchelli acetate and Zeiss lenses: 1 year against material defect.
Lifetime repair and re-polishing: available at the Lugano atelier at cost, for the lifetime of the frame, on every numbered Berenford piece.
Lost or Late Parcels
In the rare event a parcel is lost or significantly delayed in transit, write to info@berenford.com. We trace the parcel with the courier and, if confirmed lost, we ship a replacement at no cost.
